Rock the Riles 2009: Jam for justice!

reblogged from tonyo cruz

On Dec. 6, 2009, from 2:00 pm onwards at several MRT stations, let’s express our collective indignation over the terrible Maguindanao massacre and other senseless political killings since 2001 through music and art.
Take part in Rock the Riles 2009, a noteworthy initiative spearheaded by RockEd Philippines, which aims to unite musicians, artists and the public in a common cause: To demand and ensure justice and to defeat impunity and cynicism.
As you can see from the poster above, there’s a whole menu of musical and artistic choices for everyone.
One of the highlights is CinemAlexis, a screening of three films in honor of film critic Alexis Tioseco, another victim of senseless violence this year.
So on on Dec. 6, drop by any of the MRT stations (Taft, Ayala, Buendia, Boni, Shaw, Cubao, Quezon Avenue, North Edsa) and together let’s jam for justice.
Let’s blaze the rails with our righteous indignation.
(Thanks to Gang Badoy for the heads up.)

Ang taong gusto mo ay parang ice cream. Matutunaw yan 'pag tinitigan mo lang. Kaya dapat habang maaga... dilaan mo na!
